Top Dem Senator Makes Major Demand Regarding Trump/Russia Investigation

On Monday, Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-Connecticut) appeared on CNN’s “New Day.”

During the interview, Blumenthal spoke about special counsel Robert Mueller’s ongoing investigation.

“Unquestionably there has to be that kind of face-to-face interview. The timing is important because the special counsel needs to have as many facts and as much evidence before he has that face-to-face interview with the president of the United States,” he said.

Blumenthal was then asked if he believes more indictments will come from Mueller’s investigation.

“I think that the evidence accumulating against individuals within the White House, within the administration, the mounting evidence of obstruction of justice that’s public, and we have no idea all of what is available to the special counsel.”

Many top GOP leaders, as well as President Trump himself, have attempted to discredit Robert Mueller and his investigation.

“We’ll investigate the unprecedented bias against President Trump that exists when we allow people who hate the president to participate in the investigations against him,” Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Florida) said during an interview last month.

On Saturday, President Trump took to Twitter to address the investigation.

“Now that Russian collusion, after one year of intense study, has proven to be a total hoax on the American public, the Democrats and their lapdogs, the Fake News Mainstream Media, are taking out the old Ronald Reagan playbook and screaming mental stability and intelligence.....” Trump wrote.
