Former Fox News Host Turns On Trump Exposing His Hypocrisy On Sexual Misconduct

Gretchen Carlson used to work for Fox News so she knows a thing or two about harassment allegations. The former Fox host blasted President Trump after he went after Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) on social media over a photo in which the senator appears to be grabbing a sleeping woman’s breasts. The woman in the photo, who posted the image accusing Franken of sexual misconduct, is a radio broadcaster now.  Franken soon apologized and called for an ethics investigation into his actions. Whereas Trump labeled him “Al Frankenstein” in a tweet, despite having his own history of sexual misconduct allegations.  Trump went on to troll Franken over the image asking where his hands should go.

Carlson did not find Trump’s jokes funny. She tweeted in response to his reaction: “What about yours?” referring to women who have accused Trump of sexual harassment and like crimes.

Carlson has first-hand experience with sexual harassment. She left Fox News in 2016 after filing a sexual harassment against Roger Ailes, former Fox chairman and CEO.  More than a dozen women have accused Trump of sexual misconduct but he denies those claims but has yet to investigate them. The White House also pointed out that the difference between Trump’s accusations and Franken’s is that Trump has not admitted any wrongdoing and Franken has.

Franken’s accuser went on to say: “It wasn’t until I was back in the U.S. and looking through the CD of photos we were given by the photographer that I saw this one. I felt violated all over again. Embarrassed. Belittled. Humiliated. How dare anyone grab my breasts like this and think it’s funny?”

After, Franken responded by saying: “The first and most important thing—and if it’s the only thing you care to hear, that’s fine—is: I’m sorry,” Franken. I understand why we need to listen to and believe women’s experiences,” he added. “I am asking that an ethics investigation be undertaken, and I will gladly cooperate.”
